Cooley Commended for Client Service, Employee Satisfaction and Reputation

Palo Alto – November 30, 2016 – BTI Consulting Group and Above the Law ranked Cooley as a top law firm and as a leader in client service and more in separate reports. BTI Consulting Group ranked Cooley #4 on its annual Client Service 30 list and Above the Law ranked Cooley #29 on its Power 100 list. Cooley “shot up the rankings this year,” according to coverage of the BTI survey in Law360. The report is based on the results of 330+ interviews with legal decision makers at large organizations with $1+ billion in revenue. The scoring system is based on 17 activities that BTI has determined to be essential to delivering superior client service and driving the best relationships. Up two spots from last year, Cooley landed at #29 on Above the Law’s Power 100, which aims to “capture the strength and relevance of major law firms in today’s market.” The report blends objective data points (changes in headcount over time, promotional prospects and number of women partners) with subjective feedback from 20,000+ associates, partners and other members of the legal community. The result is a more complete picture of each firm, encompassing employee satisfaction, compensation, reputation, desirability as an employer and data-driven measures of firm growth. About Cooley LLP Clients partner with Cooley on transformative deals, complex IP and regulatory matters, and high-stakes litigation, where innovation meets the law. Cooley has 900 lawyers across 12 offices in the United States, China and Europe.
