DoubleHorn CEO Debunks SIP Myths at Oracle Industry Connect

DoubleHorn Communications, an award-winning provider of managed business communications, hosted IT and cloud services, today announced that founder and Chief Executive Officer Tab Schadt was invited to Oracle Industry Connect as a featured speaker on the panel discussion, "SIP Trunking: Debunking the Common Myths"  March 25. Schadt will be joined on the panel by Srikanth Gomattam, Director VoIP Engineering at Earthlink. It will be moderated by Oracle Director of Product and Solutions Marketing Jonathan Zarkower. The flagship Oracle industry event features customer-led content delivered by industry leaders  with deep domain expertise, insights, and industry-specific best practices for the Communications, Financial Services, Health Sciences, Retail, Utilities, Engineering and Oil & Gas industries. Schadt founded DoubleHorn in 2005 and has become an expert resource for SIP trunking, cited in numerous industry publications. The DoubleHorn connection to Oracle was created with Oracle's recent acquisition of Acme Packet. DoubleHorn partnered with industry leading Acme Packet as its partner for a hosted enterprise session border controller (E-SBC) solution. The unique hosted solution is expected to be a related topic of discussion during the session. During the panel discussion, Schadt will share his best practices and recommendations for SIP trunk deployments. According to Schadt, "When deploying or expanding a Unified Communications (UC) platform, such as Microsoft Lync, there are 'myths' that may lead to deploying more high end equipment on prem. During our session, we'll discuss how enterprises can mesh legacy elements, the UC platform, and SIP trunks more easily if they are secured by an E-SBC that the provider has already deployed and is managing in its own cloud."
