Edgewater Networks and Dolby Announce the Certification of Dolby Conference Phones in Edgewater Networks’ QuickConnect Interoperability Lab

SAN JOSE, Calif. & SAN FRANCISCO-- -- Edgewater Networks, the leader in Network Edge Orchestration, today announced that it has certified its line of EdgeMarc 2900 Intelligent Edges with the  Dolby® Conference Phone in its  QuickConnect Interoperability Lab. Edgewater Networks certification included the Dolby Conference Phones and Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc 2900 Intelligent Edges in a BroadSoft environment. The results are documented in a standard configuration guide for easy deployment and integration. The certification covers both hosted and SIP Trunking deployment scenarios. “The Dolby Conference Phone makes conversations more natural by enabling meeting participants to communicate the way they do when they’re in the same room. Demand for this type of communication by companies of all sizes has been expanding rapidly for the last several years, and we expect that trend to continue,” said Jeff Smith, Senior Director of Product, Communications Business Group, at Dolby Laboratories. “Service providers deploying the QuickConnect-certified Dolby Conference Phone with Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc 2900 Intelligent Edges can experience seamless installations at customer sites with opportunities to reduce OPEX while simultaneously realizing optimized voice quality through the central and proactive management of all endpoints.” Edgewater Networks’  Network Edge Orchestration platform includes the cloud-based  EdgeView Service Control Center and customer premises-based  EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges. Network Edge Orchestration offers a host of functionality and benefits including Zero Touch Provisioning and configuration, security, and active service management. Endpoints, such as the Dolby Conference Phone are connected directly to the EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges, giving service providers the ability to remotely monitor, configure, and troubleshoot all endpoints through the EdgeView Service Control Center. The Dolby Conference Phone delivers impressive flexibility for great sound from huddle rooms to conference rooms to boardrooms in a streamlined, easy-to-use design. And when combined with a Dolby Voice® enabled service, it gives you even better audio, with more nuance and with voice placement that presents each speaker's voice from a distinct location to make it easier to follow the conversation. “Edgewater Networks is excited to include Dolby as a technology partner and validate interoperability in our QuickConnect Lab,” said Jennifer Kidd, VP of Business Development at Edgewater Networks. “Using our combined platforms for the delivery of voice services enables service providers and customers to optimize the overall UC user experience from initial installation to ongoing technical support.” To learn more, please visit  www.edgewaternetworks.com.
