Gamma and O2 Daisy Announce Long-Term Strategic Commitment

This multi-platform approach demonstrates the strength of the partnership and the shared ambition to drive scalable UCaaS growth

London, UK - September 8, 2025 - Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading provider of technology-based communication solutions across Europe, and O2 Daisy, the new UK Telecommunications powerhouse formed by the merger of Virgin Media O2 Business and Daisy Group, are pleased to announce a new multi-year commitment between their companies. This new deal further solidifies their existing ties and is composed of several different elements.

Summary:

  • A six-year commitment for Gamma to supply O2 Daisy with additional UCaaS capacity across multiple platforms
  • A seven-year wholesale revenue agreement supporting the transfer of SME customers from Gamma’s direct base to O2 Daisy
  • Gamma assuming responsibility for Cisco BroadWorks enablement, underpinning O2 Daisy’s UCaaS platform and supporting future growth
  • Significant cross-sell potential through O2 Daisy’s recent merger

Under a six-year commitment, Gamma will be supplying O2 Daisy with thousands of additional UCaaS seats across key platforms, including Horizon, Webex for Gamma and PhoneLine+. Building on Gamma’s existing relationship with Cisco, it has assumed responsibility for Cisco BroadWorks enablement, which underpins O2 Daisy’s own UCaaS platform. This multi-platform approach demonstrates the strength of the partnership and the shared ambition to drive scalable UCaaS growth, including significant cross-sell potential into O2 Daisy’s wider customer base, now its merger has completed.

An agreement has also been made to transition Gamma’s UK SME direct customer base to O2 Daisy, with Gamma’s remaining UK direct sales channels consisting of digital channels and providing solutions to enterprise customers. This move highlights Gamma’s belief that channel partners are the best route to market for SMEs and best placed to serve them. The affected customers will now be transferred to O2 Daisy as part of a seven-year wholesale revenue commitment. The agreement ensures both parties benefit from the long-term partnership, while affected customers gain access to O2 Daisy’s tailored support, scalable systems and specialist capabilities. Gamma will continue to provide service and billing support for up to 12 months to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

By taking on the Cisco BroadWorks enablement, alongside Horizon, Gamma now underpins two of O2 Daisy’s key UCaaS platforms. This expanded role reinforces the depth of the partnership and O2 Daisy’s ambition to accelerate Unified Communications (UC) growth at scale, with Gamma’s infrastructure playing a central role. Gamma expects that its economies of scale, highlighted by its network capability, key supply partnerships and its voice enablement technologies, will create further opportunities in a market that is increasingly shaped by regulation, security, and compliance requirements. By taking care of the underlying complexity, Gamma enables partners to focus on what they do best: delivering value and service to their customers.

Gamma’s longstanding collaboration with Cisco, including platforms such as Cisco BroadWorks and Webex, is central to its ability to support Channel Partners’ UCaaS platforms, which helps them to grow at scale.

This demonstrates Gamma’s ongoing commitment to working with expert channel partners to deliver long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes for customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem.

Andrew Belshaw, CEO at Gamma, said:
“Running your own communications platform is increasingly complex. From rising compliance pressures to the cost and pace of innovation, it simply doesn’t make commercial sense for many providers. That’s where Gamma comes in. Our relationship with O2 Daisy is built on years of trust, shared success and doing what’s right. This agreement reflects all of that. By combining their customer focus with our platform scale and expertise, we’re creating the right environment for sustainable growth.”

On the agreement Dave McGinn CEO, SME of O2 Daisy, said:
“The market sweet spot for us is UC; we have a big direct sales force cross-selling UC at a rapid rate, and a vibrant partner community that continues to grow through support and investment. This deal is hugely positive for both companies and, most importantly, for the customers and partners who will benefit from this ongoing partnership. We’re proud to continue building on our long-standing partnership with Gamma. This is about continuity, care, and commitment, ensuring SME customers receive the right level of support from a partner fully aligned to their needs. Our shared belief in doing what’s right for the customer has always underpinned our relationship.”

D.P. Venkatesh, Chief Growth Officer, Cisco Collaboration, said:
“Gamma has long been a trusted partner in delivering Cisco BroadWorks and Webex solutions at scale, and their ability to support multi-platform UCaaS delivery is a real differentiator. We are excited about the breadth and scope of our Gamma relationship which continues to grow beyond UCaaS to encompass the full scope of Cisco’s portfolio of networking, security and collaboration products.”

Both Gamma and O2 Daisy are working closely to manage the migration and ensure clear, coordinated communications to customers, partners, and teams.
