GCI increases investment in cloud services in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Aug. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska's leading communications provider, General Communication, Inc. ("GCI") (NASDAQ:GNCMA), boosted its investment in cloud services with the purchase of Network Business Systems. Cloud services enable businesses to store and process data remotely, increasing efficiency, reliability and performance and eliminating the need to maintain and upgrade hardware and software in-house. The acquisition of NBS enhances GCI's capability to meet the current and future technology needs of its Alaska businesses.
