INTELITY and BluIP Partner to Implement Phone Calls Through In-Room Tablets

The two companies deliver on hoteliers’ demand for an alternative to landline phones

INTELITY and BluIP now allow users to place external, guest-to-guest, and guest-to-staff calls through in-room tablets. By implementing this technology, properties can replace outdated landline phones, which helps streamline and declutter guest rooms, minimize system maintenance, and reduce costs. In addition to cost reduction, using VoIP tech provides carrier-grade communications from the back office into the guest room and allows properties to bring all their communications onto a single, unified system.

“The industry is ready to move to all-in-one devices rather than a traditional phone in the room,” said Armen Martirosyan, BluIP CEO. “This integration is a step towards that reality and combines functions for guests into one device, still giving them the ability to communicate within the property by leveraging INTELITY’s in-room tablets and BluIP’s carrier-grade global platform.”

“Our goal is to help our customers be successful and give them the tools to provide superior guest experience, and our product roadmap is heavily influenced by these goals,” added Robert Stevenson, INTELITY CEO. “The concept of eliminating landline phones in the guest rooms has long been a goal of hoteliers. It’s simply the future, and we’re proud to partner with BluIP to bring this technology into hotel rooms.”
