Masergy Continues to Demonstrate Cyber Security Expertise With PCI Vendor Compliance Certification

Multi-Factor Authentication and Segmentation Penetration Testing Further Improve Cardholder Data Security DALLAS, Sept. 18, 2017 --  Masergy, a leading provider of  hybrid networkingmanaged security and  cloud communications solutions, today announced its  PCI Compliance Professional Services certification. Masergy has successfully completed the Testing Phase of the PCI Scanning Vendor Program for the twelfth consecutive year, meeting the rigorous Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) compliance testing criteria.
The PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) was developed to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. New requirements have been recently added to the DSS certification that require multi-factor authentication and segmentation penetration testing performance every 6 months. Masergy’s PCI Professional Service blends unique, in-house tools with certified manual testing to offer a holistic approach for helping customers enhance cardholder data security efforts. Craig D’Abreo, Vice President, Security Operations at Masergy, elaborates on the importance of this new, 6-month penetration testing, “It’s imperative that companies conduct comprehensive PCI ASV testing in addition to 24/7 security monitoring, to be fully protected. This certification, along with Masergy's Managed Detection and Response solution, enables our customers to demonstrate their ability to mitigate the risk of data loss through compliance adherence, further protecting their network with around-the-clock security monitoring.” From auditing to technology, process, and policy, Masergy understands that each organization has different requirements and tailors services to meet specific compliance needs.
