National Bar Association Elects Joe Drayton President

New York – August 7, 2017 – The National Bar Association has elected Cooley litigation partner Joe Drayton as its 76th president. Drayton is currently finishing his term as vice president of finance for the association, which is the oldest and largest US network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. He has served on the NBA board for more than five years. “Joe’s involvement with the National Bar Association has been game changing,” said Benjamin Crump, a partner at Parks & Crump, the 73rd president of the organization and the lead attorney for Trayvon Martin’s family. “He is a dedicated leader, and I trust he’ll successfully lead the National Bar Association on all fronts, including our important role as a protector of civil rights.” Drayton's practice background includes a broad range of intellectual property and complex commercial matters.
