NEC Expands Cloud Portfolio with Addition of New Private Application Cloud Collaboration Solution

NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leading provider and integrator of advanced IT, networking, communications, cloud and managed services solutions, announced that it completed implementation and validation of a new cloud collaboration service to be delivered through NEC’s Private Application Cloud portfolio. To support the requirements and needs of customers who want to move applications to the cloud, NEC continues to enhance its cloud solutions portfolio, which includes hosted ERP and database applications; business analytics; and UNIVERGE® Cloud Services UCaaS, NEC’s primary UCaaS offering. To meet demands of NEC’s Cisco-centric customer base, NEC also has added the Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS)—which will be delivered through NEC’s direct channel and deployed and managed in the NEC Cloud. The new offering enables NEC’s customers to leverage additional NEC Private Application Cloud offerings as well as NEC managed services. NEC implemented the HCS solution using NEC’s team of highly skilled UC experts. The HCS offering is a subscription-based, “as-a-service” cloud solution based on Cisco Collaboration technologies. The offering is delivered within highly secure, cloud-ready, virtualized platforms under a centralized management system, providing NEC’s customers more ways to leverage their existing Cisco investments. NEC provides an industry-leading service level agreement (SLA) for applications in the cloud, with a standard, financially-backed SLA of 99.9%. Optional SLAs of up to 99.95% are also available. “We’re planning even more enhancements to the Private Application Cloud portfolio, including integration with NEC’s newly launched Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering as well as contact center support,” said Vinod Muthuswamy, vice president of managed services, NEC.
