Politeknika Txorierri have reached a collaboration agreement to promote the incorporation of students into the world of work in the field of telecommunications and associated Internet services. The agreement, which provides for internships by students at Sarenet, also focuses on the incorporation of women in technical specialties, an objective pursued by the company as part of the different actions it has been developing in the face of gender equality. The collaboration includes the organization of visits and meetings in which students can verify the operation of Sarenet, know its facilities in the Zamudio Technology Park, and the business telecommunications services it offers. The project also pursues the participation of these future professionals in different R+D activities developed by the Sarenet Foundation, or in areas such as Cybersecurity, IoT or process automation with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Likewise, the initiative aims to serve as guidance in terms of the professional profiles, skills and technologies most demanded in this highly dynamic sector. Politeknika Txorierri is a leading educational centre in Bizkaia, located in the region of Txorierri (Derio) belonging to the Mondragon corporation, the HETEL association and Ikastolen Elkartea. It is an entity with a great proximity to the business fabric, oriented to excellence and that applies innovative methodologies based on collaborative learning. The Sarenet Foundation, in which the company has invested more than 1 million euros to date, is focused on the development of R+D+i projects, especially aimed at facilitating and promoting the use of the most emerging technologies in projects that provide greater efficiency, improve competitiveness and sustainability, and allow the development of services of more value, generating a social benefit.
