SimpleSignal Announces Launch of True One Number Unified Communications Solution
1 Apr, 2012
SimpleSignal’s new one number solution allows businesspeople to make and receive calls from any location at any time on any device with full PBX functionality. Additionally, the company’s new text messaging service allows users to send and receive texts through their business phone number, eliminating the need to give out their personal mobile phone number
SimpleSignal, Inc., the premier cloud-based Unified Communications and Collaboration provider for business, today announced a comprehensive One Number solution for Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C). The company now offers a full range of integrated applications and calling features aimed at providing customers with the ability to leverage advanced mobile PBX technology in their day-to-day business communications. More than simply find-me, follow-me or simultaneous ring, which has become common place in the business VoIP industry, SimpleSignal’s One Number offering extends all the functionality of a desk phone and advanced office PBX system to any mobile device. Features like 4-digit dialing between extensions, call transfer, hunt groups, call centers, conferencing, call recording and more are now available to the user’s mobile device. The service also features call swap, which allows seamless transfers between a user’s deskphone and mobile phone, with no interruption in the call. “In today’s business world, companies are being built around their networks, not a physical location,” said Michael Sterl, VP of SimpleSignal. “SimpleSignal’s One Number UC solution is the “killer app” needed by these progressive, virtually-oriented businesses to enable mobility for their workers, while unifying their network.” SimpleSignal’s
text messaging service is the newest application in the company’s UC&C toolbox, combining One Number with text messaging for the ultimate one number solution. As texting becomes one of the most widely used methods of communication in the business world, SimpleSignal implemented a seamless solution that allows customers to use their smartphone or tablet to send and receive messages using their business number rather than their personal mobile number. SimpleSignal’s text messaging service provides a more immediate and direct alternative to other forms of business communications. Using one business number to streamline voice and text communications, customers will be able to easily access text messages from multiple mobile devices at the same time without the need to disclose their personal mobile number. Customers will be able to send and receive messages just as they normally would on their mobile devices but with the comfort of keeping their personal numbers protected. “While many in the industry have talked about one number solutions, it was never truly one number when you still had to give out your mobile number for texting purposes,” said Dave Gilbert, CEO of SimpleSignal. “Our text messaging service now gives users the ability to maintain their privacy while still connecting with their customers and provides the final solution to the one number value proposition.” Live demonstrations of One Number and the new text-messaging platform will be held on the expo floor at the 2012 Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Las Vegas this week. The company’s demonstration area, located at booth 415, will showcase the new text messaging service along with their new Unity toolbar application, and SimpleMeetup, a web conferencing and collaboration tool revealed earlier this week. “We are excited to bring this solution full-circle. Our team has worked countless hours and millions of dollars perfecting the One Number solution so we can, once again, simplify and unify all the ways a business communicates and collaborates.
