LONDON--October 12, 2016-- StarLeaf, the leading cloud video conferencing and calling provider, has announced its next generation cloud, StarLeaf OpenCloud V4, which includes major new functionality in the form of Click-to-Call browser based dialing, APIs that pave the way for video integration with business workflows and applications, and a suite of new features to enhance user experience during a conference or direct video call. “This is a ground-breaking release of our cloud and it has all the ingredients to make enterprise business-to-business and business-to-consumer face-to-face communication a reality,” said Mark Loney, CEO, StarLeaf. “Today’s forward thinking business leaders want to use video in a pervasive way. They want multiple touch points, which means giving their workers and customers real-time access from any number of devices or applications. This release of our cloud delivers everything they need for integrated video collaboration across workflows, applications and processes.” StarLeaf OpenCloud V4 features Click-to-Call, which allows StarLeaf users to invite anyone to join them on a video call or conference directly from their browser. A Click-to-Call link is present in all StarLeaf conferencing and guest invitations. Organizations can embed the Click-to-Call link into websites, service kiosks, and business applications, for example HR, and CRM systems. Click-to-Call is WebRTC based and supported natively by Chrome and Firefox browsers, or via a simple, downloadable plug-in for Internet Explorer or Safari users. Further integration can be achieved with Cloud APIs. These APIs allow businesses to embed StarLeaf video conferencing and calling into applications, particularly where there is a need to securely schedule and manage StarLeaf conferences. Other enhancements focus on the user experience with the introduction of a suite of new in-conference controls, which among other things, allow meeting participants to dynamically choose their preferred screen layout.
