Two Cooley Lawyers Selected as LCLD Pathfinders

Palo Alto – March 19, 2018 – Cooley lawyers Janiece Jenkins and Kimberly Nguyen are set to join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinders program, which focuses on developing leadership and professional networking strategies. The Pathfinder program targets early-career attorneys and the youngest members of corporate law departments. It is one of many LCLD initiatives, including the LCLD Fellows program, which has trained more than 1,200 attorneys since 2011. Capital markets partner Jonie Kondracki was recently named Cooley’s 2018 LCLD fellow. “We’re proud to continually partner with LCLD and support a mission that is so aligned with Cooley’s core values,” said Joe Conroy, Cooley’s chief executive officer. “Increasing diversity in our firm and in the legal profession is one of our highest priorities – and it is through programs like these that progress is made.” Founded in 2009, LCLD is a national organization of 285 members comprised of the general counsel and managing partners of leading corporations and law firms in the country who are personally committed to making the legal industry a truly diverse profession. In October 2017, Cooley hosted Michele Lee, general counsel of Cooley client Twitter, and a group of LCLD fellows to discuss problems, ideas and solutions relating to diversity in law.
