VozTelecom launches the Work application that converts a telephone call from the switchboard into a video call

  • Work allows companies to make phone calls from the computer and transform them into video calls without the need for the prior installation of a video conferencing application.
  • The caller, who receives the call on a landline or conventional mobile phone, can start the video session in any browser on a computer, converting the voice call into a video call.
May 28, 2020 - The videoconferences are one of the main innovations of the 'new normal'. What most of us only used occasionally in our personal lives  has become one more tool for any company in communicating with its customers, suppliers and employees. When we recover the usual rhythm, face-to-face meetings and business visits will return, but without a doubt the use of remote communications will have already been implemented in our day to day. In this context,  VozTelecom , the leading provider of cloud communications in the national market, launches its  WORK application , a communication and collaboration tool that allows you to  make a phone call from the user's computer to any conventional landline or mobile phone and convert it into a video call during the conversation.  Work receives and sends calls from the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser of the computer like any other extension of the company's virtual switchboard and during the telephone communication it becomes, at the user's request, a video call  without the need for prior installation or access to another application by the participants, unlike what happens with other video conferencing solutions that do require it. Once the phone call has been established,  Work allows the user who initiated the call to activate the video session, while the other party can accept the video call from the browser of their computer. This  avoids the common audio problems experienced by users of video call applications, since it does not use the computer's audio but the audio of the user's landline or mobile phone. In addition,  Work includes  other collaboration features such as recording calls, holding conferences, the possibility of sharing the screen to make presentations and see the status of the PBX extensions, thus, before making a call it is possible to consult if the extension is busy, available or not available.
