WARWICK VALLEY TELEPHONE CELEBRATES RETURN OF NAME

Warwick Valley Telephone Celebrates Return of Name Warwick Valley Telephone will be hosting a ribbon cutting on Thursday August 4 at 11AM to celebrate the return to its original name. The Warwick Chamber of Commerce and local community leaders will be on hand to help celebrate this event; customers are welcome to stop in throughout the day to join in the celebration. Warwick Valley Telephone, also known as WVT, was incorporated in 1902 and operated under that name for 110 years. In 2011 WVT purchased Alteva; a Voip service provider. In 2013 the name was changed to Alteva to meet the company’s vision of a global presence in the telecommunications industry and to portray a positive image to customers. However, that name change did not appeal to our long-time local NY and NJ customers and businesses that had worked with WVT for decades. In 2015 Alteva was purchased by Momentum Telecom.  Momentum Telecom executives heeded the requests from the local customers and former shareholders and agreed to return the name of the Warwick segment of its company back to the original, Warwick Valley Telephone – WVT. Warwick Valley Telephone (WVT) is a leading regional telecommunications provider operating in Orange County, NY and northern NJ. WVT provides traditional voice service, internet/broadband services, hosted communications solutions and fiber services and resells DirecTV service in the tri-state region. WVT offers specialized bundles for consumers and small businesses as well as advanced business communications solutions for medium to large businesses. With a 114+ year record of innovations WVT remains focused on providing the highest quality products and customer service.
