Zoom unlocks meeting intelligence for AI workflows with Claude
New MCP Connector enables users and developers to access Zoom Meetings data and build workflows directly with Claude Cowork and Claude Code
April 9, 2026 - Today, Zoom announced a new integration with Anthropic’s Claude, enabling users to access and act on meeting insights through agentic workflows directly within Claude Cowork and Claude Code. Built on the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, the integration brings Zoom Meetings intelligence into Claude, allowing users and developers to securely access meeting data and build workflows within the tools of their choice.
Available through Claude’s connector directory, the Zoom MCP connector provides secure access to Zoom’s AI meeting summaries, transcripts, recordings, and scheduling capabilities. Bolstering Claude’s AI workflows with AI Companion outputs delivers valuable meeting insights, better meeting follow-ups, and new workflows all within Claude.
“AI becomes far more useful when it can access real-world context and act on it,” said X.D. Huang, chief technology officer at Zoom. “Our approach is to make Zoom’s meeting intelligence, data, and skills available through an open, extensible ecosystem. By bringing that into platforms like Claude, we’re enabling developers and users to build workflows that start with the conversation and carry through to execution in whatever environment they like to work.”
Zoom and Claude integration: Key capabilities
The Zoom connector for Claude enables users and developers to access Zoom meeting intelligence and use it directly within Claude Cowork and Claude Code. Key capabilities include:
- Meeting search and retrieval: Find key decisions, topics, and moments across meetings using natural language
- Access to meeting assets: Retrieve summaries, transcripts, recordings, and related content from Zoom Meetings
- AI-powered follow-ups: Generate action items, documents, and next steps based on meeting discussions
- Workflow integration: Use meeting insights as input for AI workflows and automation inside Claude
- Developer plugin for Claude Code and Claude Cowork:
- Build custom workflows that integrate Zoom with development tools
- Automate scheduling for sprint planning, standups, and team coordination
- Create bots and automations powered by meeting data
- Access Zoom data and trigger actions using the Zoom connector and Zoom Skills
Meeting intelligence drives better outcomes
With the Zoom and Claude Cowork integration, users can easily access and act on meeting insights directly within Claude, whether through natural language or by building programmatic workflows. From retrieving summaries and transcripts to generating meeting follow-ups, users can stay in their flow without the need to switch between tools.
For example, users can:
- Search across meetings to find key decisions or moments in a conversation.
- Retrieve meeting summaries, transcripts, recordings, and related assets.
- Generate follow-ups, action items, and documents based on meeting content.
By bringing meeting intelligence into Claude, Zoom enables knowledge workers to move more seamlessly from meeting insights to next steps within a single workflow. Instead of meetings being a starting point that requires manual follow-through, they become a direct input into AI-powered work.
Enabling developers with the Zoom plugin for Claude Code
Zoom has also introduced a plugin for Claude Code that enables developers to bring meeting intelligence directly into their development workflows. Designed for software developers, engineers, and technical teams, the plugin is built on the Zoom connectorand Zoom Skillsframework and packaged for easy installation inside Claude Code.
The plugin allows developers to treat meetings not as static records, but as structured, actionable inputs. Using the MCP provides secure access to meeting data, along with built-in skills that can trigger actions, reducing the need to manually integrate APIs, context, and workflows.
With the Zoom plugin for Claude Code and Claude Cowork, developers can:
- Automate meeting scheduling for sprint planning, standups, and team coordination.
- Access meeting summaries, transcripts, and recordings for documentation and project tracking.
- Build custom workflows that connect Zoom with development tools and systems.
- Create Zoom-powered automations and bots that act on decisions made in meetings.
By combining access to meeting context with built-in execution capabilities, the plugin enables developers to act on meeting insights more quickly within their existing systems.
An open and secure ecosystem for AI and developers
The integration reflects Zoom’s commitment to an open ecosystem, where meeting intelligence can be accessed across platforms and used to power a wide range of use cases from individual productivity to custom-built applications.
Built on MCP, the Zoom connector and plugin for Claude enable secure, structured access to Zoom data without moving or duplicating customer information. This allows meeting data to remain governed by Zoom’s enterprise-grade access controls.
This integration reflects Zoom’s strategy to make meeting intelligence accessible across the AI ecosystem, while advancing its broader vision for AI Companion and more powerful capabilities across the Zoom platform.
The Zoom MCP connector for Claude Cowork and plugin for Claude Code are available starting today. Customers can connect to Zoom through the connector directory in Claude settings. A valid Zoom license is required to access Zoom features, including AI Companion capabilities.
