Podcast: Pandemic accelerates dramatic shift to cloud native platforms

But cash is king, says Netis

“I just can’t imagine going back to the old world,” says Dmitry Netis, Managing Director, Business Development at Q Advisors. In this podcast, Netis reports that from his vantage point, the acceleration to cloud native platforms has sped up as businesses switched to the cloud to enable remote working and virtualized transactions and experiences. Netis describes the environment as Darwinian, observes a bifurcation of the market, and notes how some companies will be in a strong position to move forward. Netis says that the cloud is still “early”, that the cloud technologies markets are not yet mature and are in a dynamic state. Calling the environment “fluid”, Netis offers some very conventional advice to the companies that find themselves inside the center of the cloud revolution: cash is king.  He urges cloud communications firms to keep their eyes on profitability, control debt and pay attention to core business indices. Q Advisors is a boutique investment bank with a specialized cloud communications practice. The firm is a long-term active member and supporter of the Cloud Communications Alliance.
